ICA History: 2003

History

Our membership for 2003 was at 133 paid memberships. We once again averaged 23 boats per tournament but set a new ICA record of 3088.6 total pounds of catfish weighed in. There were 540 catfish weighed at an average of 5.72 pounds per fish. That beat our old record by more than 800 pounds of fish. We also saw records set for most total pounds of fish weighed in for an entire year in the ICA (Jon Land - 503 points) and largest flathead catfish ever weighed in (Cecil Green + Casey Elrod - 46.8 lb - Ohio River, Evansville, IN). The record for the most lbs weighed in at a tournament was also broken (Jon Land + Chris Tramm weighed 91.1 lbs of catfish at the Monroe Reservoir in May of 2003). 2003 ICA Classic Champions were Ron Streeter & Don Mitchell. The ICA 2003 top 10 in points are listed.
