More to be added as we get them...

This tournament has really turned out to be just fantastic. We had 86 boats compete the first year and 130 boats in 2010 and 111 boats in 2011. We expect it to continue to grow even larger in the future. Here are some things you should know and do to help check in and weigh in run smoothly.

  • Before you arrive, print out a copy of the waiver above and have it filled out. This will save you time later. We will also have waivers there if you need them.
  • When you arrive, there will be ICA officers there inspecting your boat as you wait in line coming through the gate (gate opens at 5:00am.). They will give you a weigh in card and a waiver if needed. Please fill both of these out.
  • The guards will then direct you to launch your boat and where to park your car.
  • Next, make your way to the table set up where you will check in and pay your $10 tournament fee and we will collect your waiver and canned goods. Please have weigh in card filled out with your names before coming to pay. We will also have a 50/50 raffle set up here if you want in on it.
  • We will have a pre-tournament meeting at 8:30 sharp where we will go over all the rules and field any questions you may have. We will also draw for the 50/50 winner. We launch at 9:00am sharp in order of check in.
  • After the tournament, come get a bucket for your fish and get in the weigh in line. After weigh in is complete, we will announce the winners.

Here's some info if you plan to pre-fish Turtle Creek. The 1,550-acre reservoir was constructed in 1980 to provide cooling water for Hoosier Energy's Merom Generating Station. The entire lake will be open to fishing starting Feb. 16th, 2011. Gates open at 6:00am normally. They do plan to open the gates at 5:00 am the day of the tournament. The phone # is 812-356-4744. There will be no ramp fees the day of the tournament. Any other time the fees are $1 per person under age 16 - $3 per person age 16-64 - $1 per person over age 65.
